Roots Dog Grooming is a small, personalized grooming salon in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Our Values

Due to the shelter crisis in this country where approximately 1,000,000 (63,000 in N.M.) dogs are put down annually due to overcrowding and human behavior, we are focused on serving adopted/fostered/rescued/re-homed or otherwise non-purchased from a breeder or bred by client dogs.

This means, if there is a wait list for new clients, we will always serve adopted/rescued dogs first.

When you think about your next pet, please consider adopting/rescuing a dog. There are many rescues & shelters with small dogs and ones specifically dedicated to certain breeds.

We love all dogs, but the forced insemination, often over bred and discarded treatment of the females being bred, even by “reputable breeders” is horrific to witness. Please know this is happening.
